Chief Executive
Jim Hallion is the
Chief Executive of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, commencing this role on
23 May 2011.
Prior to this appointment, Jim was Chief Executive of the Department
for Transport, Energy & Infrastructure. The department was
responsible for the provision of South Australia’s public transport,
road and maritime systems, road and rail regulation, energy policy
and regulation, building management, land services, Government ICT
services, and infrastructure planning.
He is currently a member of the Infrastructure Australia Council,
Chair of the ICT Board and Senior Management Council and member of
the PPP steering committee for the new Royal Adelaide Hospital. Jim
was former Chair of the Australian Maritime Group and National Rail
Safety Regulation Project Board and former member of the Australian
Logistics Council, Australian Road Forum, Standing Committee on
Transport and Transport Agencies Chief Executives Forum.
Jim Hallion was awarded a Bachelor of Engineering from the
University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and
Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He
is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers and a Fellow of the
Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
